7000 Seedlings planted on Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day

The University community and its partners gathered and planted 7000 tree seedlings on Friday, May 13, 2022, on the Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day.

Equity Group Foundation,County Government, National Government,  Shamba Café, Loresho Community and Association of Green champions joined the university to plant and grow trees.

University of Nairobi Rewards Best Performers. 

 

Speaking during the event, University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama observed that students have excelled in many areas, not just in academics, but also in extra curriculum activities like sports and hence they should be recognized. One of the prominent sportsmen in the country, the fastest man in the world, Ferdinand Omanyala is one of the students worth celebrating.

University of Nairobi Open Day

University of Nairobi is known for keeping its tradition. One of the those traditions will be the Annual Open Day. The University of Nairobi, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences holds an Open Day from May 5, 2022 to May 6, 2022, where members of the public will have an opportunity to sample the various courses on offer.

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences will be among the 13 Faculties  at the University of Nairobi showing the various programs on offer. The Faculty boasts of some of the most prominent Alumni in Kenya and around the world.
