On Monday 5th December 2022 The University of Nairobi held celebratory event for annual Staff Performance and Recognition Award Ceremony. Being nominated for an award is a huge achievement and this year, Department of Medical microbiology and immunology emerged the best department overall in the performance contract for Financial Year 2021/2022 while the Faculty of Business and Management Science emerged the best Faculty.
The faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, received two trophies. one for the most improved faculty and the other the best performing faculty.
We thank the management for recognizing the hard work and commitment that continues to be delivered across campus from our professional services and support staff. Everyone nominated received a personal letter of congratulations. We are also very grateful to the panel for giving their time, experience and expertise in selecting this year’s winners
While delivering his remarks, the Vice Chancellor Prof Stephen Kiama congratulated all staffs for a great improvement in the 2021/2022 Performance contract period. Over 500 members of staff were recognized through Staff Performance Appraisal, Research, learning, Innovation and Long-serving Category .
The Chair of Council, Prof. Miriam Were, was also present and in her speech she urged all the departments to focus on their core mandates, “I want to encourage the University of Nairobi Staff to give greater attention, we should not allow ourselves to be complacent, take success or failure as a learning curve’
The Chief Operations Officer Mr. Brian Ouma also congratulated the staff for an improved performance and thanked Staff who have returned stellar Results.
